Buell has introduced a second model in the Ulysses line; the XB12XT. The new Ulysses is shorter than the original ‘X’ model, thanks to less suspension travel, with a seat height of 780 mm (28 mm down on the X model), bringing it down to an altitude suitable for below-six-footers.
Other features include lots of storage with lockable and removable luggage as standard, heated grips, a taller windscreen, and Pirelli Strada sport touring tires. Oh, and there’s a lovely 25th anniversary graphic (complete with Erik Buell’s signature) on the handlebar clamp. Smashing.
Buell’s Thunderstorm 1203 cc V-twin (that’s the older air-cooled motor) with 103 hp and 84 lb-ft of torque sits between the usual gigantic frame rails that do double-duty as fuel containers. Dry weight is a claimed 211 Kg and available colours are red or blue.
The new Buell retails in the States for US$12,995.00. We’ll post the Canadian price as soon as we get it.
This really could have used a fairing, if it’s touring intent is to be taken seriously
Will it still ride like sitting in the middle of a teeter totter??? :grin
Very happy.
So, you’re happy to carefully use metric in the seat height but default to “six-footers” for the rider?
