Natalie shines at Homestead

Several
of the women in the Canadian Women’s Cup series have done well
racing south of the border. This year it was Natalie Catherine
Provost’s turn in recent Championship Cup Series (CCS) action at
Homestead (near Miami), with two thirds and a fifth in three races,
in all cases with more than 40 entries.

Nat
says she was first at Homestead two years ago after taking a Penguin
racing school at Loudon, “and they were heading down to Florida so
I decided to follow them down. I just fell in love with the track and
I had done really well. Some sunshine in December is also pretty
nice.”

The
reason Natalie didn’t go last year was because she was otherwise
occupied: “I had the opportunity to race in Cartagena, Spain,
with the European Women’s Cup. That also went really well, I got a
second-place finish over 16 girls of about 10 different
countries.”

Ms. Provost is sponsored by Les
Soeurs en Vrac, Elka Suspension, Importations Thibault, LVP.ca, Honda
Canada, Magog Honda and Ultra Sport Marine, and of course her
boyfriend Joey McRae, who flew down to Florida to help for the
weekend.
