Moto Morini Granpasso

Very sexy.

Moto Morini’s new Granpasso, shown at Milan, puts a big V-twin into a trail bike complete with skid pan and long travel suspension.

The V-Twin in question is the company’s 1187 cc, 90-degree V-twin, tuned for low rpm power and smoothness but should still make 100 hp or more (in the higher-performance Corsaro line, the engine delivers 140 hp!).

The steel trellis frame is taken from other big Moto Morino models but gets a new subframe. A fully-adjustable Ohlins shock handles rear suspension and 50 mm Marzocchi forks will keep the front wheel where it’s supposed to be.

No word on Canadian availability, but since Moto Morini has no distributor this side of the pond, it would seem a tad unlikely. Shame.
