Forty years after losing his arm, Auburn, ON, resident Paul Johnston figures he knows how to get along single-handed, and he plans to prove it. Johnston has lured a documentary film production company into his plan to ride a motorcycle across the country with cameras rolling.

Studio M Digital Productions, a Toronto outfit, recently shot film of Johnston for a three-minute trailer that will be used to attract more funding. If all goes well, Johnston will ride a motorcycle across the country, then south to Burbank, California, where he hopes Jay Leno will welcome him on the Tonight Show.

The idea: to prove that a disability doesn’t have to slow you down.
